The formerly abandoned village Bordo in the quiet Antrona valley was rescued by idealistic people from Switzerland and Germany from certain ruin. Many of the historic houses with their characteristic stone roofs have survived. Due to its remote location and the fact that no road reaches the village and also in the village you walk on stone paths you will be touched on a deep level. The place is ideal for reflection and any kind of deep work on oneself.  We are looking for people who want to use these and other qualities of the place and give it a contribution that the place continues to exist, generous people with excess of energy. The Buddhist Centre is the heart of our project.

We gladly welcome you as a visitor or as a participant in one of the courses that take place in Bordo.

We offer accommodation in single and shared rooms. We cook vegetarian food and whenever possible we use organic grown food. The breakfast is rich and in general we cook warm lunch and dinner.

We ask our guests to participate in our efforts by helping for about an hour per day in tasks like cooking, cleaning, making firewood or in landscape maintenance. Please register for courses at the contact address. Most of our guests arrive on Saturdays which is convenient for us. We also organize “weeks of work & meditation” on certain topics such as dry stone wall construction or construction work on the historic houses.
If you wish, you may participate to three daily meditation sessions in our Buddhist meditation room.

Please bring along: sleeping bag (duvet with cover can be hired for a small fee, as well as towels and yoga mats), flashlight, hiking shoes, slippers, rain wear, biodegradable toiletries.
