Patterns in Emptiness – Understanding Dependent Origination in Buddhism

Dependent origination lies at the very heart of Buddha’s teaching, and is central to an authentic understanding of Dharma. It touches on many other parts of his teaching such as karma, rebirth, suffering, liberation. It permits us to transform our disturbing emotions into true wisdom and compassion.

Lama Jampa Thaye, a renowned scholar and livelong practitioner, will introduce us in a both traditional and accessible manner to this complex and important teaching. This will permit us to realise that everything which appears has its causes and is related to a variety of conditions. Through his teaching we will understand that nothing happens by chance and that we are deeply connected to everything. It will enable us to change our view of what we experience by acting more consciously and responsibly.

The teachings are aimed at experienced practitioners as well as people who want to familiarise themselves more deeply with Buddhist practice. A basic knowledge of Buddhist teachings is advantageous.
